Thanks to a $175,000 grant from Monmouth County under the Green Acres program and matching funds of another $175,000 from the Borough of Eatontown, Wolcott Park has a brand new playground with swings, climbing ladders, a ‘tree hideout,’ a refurbished handball court, a batting cage, basketball court and more. The project started in April and was recently completed. On Tuesday morning, August 9, officials of Eatontown, including Mayor Gerald Tarantolo, Councilmen Dennis Connelly and Mark Regan, and members of the Eatontown Recreation Committee had a dedication ceremony to celebrate the occasion. They were joined by hundreds of children and counselors in the Eatontown Recreation Summer program.
