Sawtooth Group fundraiser for Sea Bright Rising

Red Bank — Sawtooth Group, one of the nation’s leading independent full service advertising and marketing agencies, converted their annual holiday party into a fundraiser for Sea Bright Rising.

Sea Bright Rising is a nonprofit organization devoted to the relief of the needy and/or displaced and general recovery of the town of Sea Bright as a result of the devastation created by Hurricane Sandy. Sea Bright Rising Founder Chris Wood, owner of Woody’s Ocean Grille in Sea Bright was on hand at The Downtown in Red Bank to receive a check for $5,000 from Sawtooth Founder Bill Schmermund (also a shore resident).   Employees also hosted a 50/50 and raffle to raise additional money at the event. Founded in 1988 by Bill Schmermund, Sawtooth specializes in consumer-focused advertising and marketing campaigns for leading national companies that have included Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, McCormick Spice, Coldwell Banker, PNC, Beechnut Baby Food, Blue Buffalo Pet Food and Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer, among others. According to Sawtooth Partner Kristi Bridges, “We chose Sea Bright Rising because it has been a huge part of the lives of many of our employees.
