July 26, 2013Eatontown has August Halloween party
August 2, 2013Have you ever noticed the black hearse parked out in front of 555 Broadway, Long Branch? It stands out because no funeral home is located in that section of the city.
The owner of the car is Gabriel Munster, and he is a tattoo artist who works at Gene’s Body Art World. He is a quite unassuming character who loves horror themes. In fact his apartment is decorated like its Halloween all the time.
Munster joined fellow tattoo artist Eric Eastburn and entered the three day tattoo competition in Asbury Park known as the Visionary Tattoo Arts Festival. This is the fourth year the show has been hosted in Asbury Park and Eastburn has won the outstanding tattoo artist three consecutive years.
On Saturday night, Munster entered a tattoo he completed in the small-to-medium black and gray category. It should be noted that hundreds of tattoo artist are at the festival and many are considered the best in the business. When the judges finished reviewing all the works, it was announced that Munster was the winner.
Judges will announce Sunday night at the closing of the festival if Eastburn will win his fourth straight overall title of best overall tattoo artist. The Link News will keep you updated on our own local Ink Master!
