Monmouth Medical Center gets an “A” in patient safety

Congratulations to Monmouth Medical Center, part of the Barnabas Health care network, for winning the highest rating possible “A” for patient safety in a report issued by The Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit collective of business executives and health care purchasers based in Washington D.C., that advocates for hospital safety.  

Monmouth Medical Center, located in Long Branch, under the leadership of Dr. Frank Vozos, Executive Director and Bill Arnold, Chief Operations Officers, was the only area hospital to receive the top grade.

Both, Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank and Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune only received a “C” grade, as did CentraState Medical Center in Freehold.

Two other hospitals received an “A” award, they were Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, which is also part of the Barnabas Health care network, and Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel.

In Ocean County, two hospitals received a “B” in patient safety. They were Ocean Medical Center in Brick and Southern Ocean Medical Center in Stafford.
