Cox gets his 1,000th point

January 6, 2014 is the night that Terrel Cox will have his name etched into the record books at Long Branch High School. On that night he scored his 1,000th career point when the Green Wave traveled to Matawan High School.

Before the halftime break, which Matawan led 30-22; Cox had 14 points and had already reached his 1,000th career point. The last time a Long Branch male player did that was a decade ago. Long Branch lost the game 60-48 and Cox finished with a game high 20 points.

The Long Branch Public Schools will honor Cox on Thursday night, January 9, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. before the start of the Red Bank Regional game.
