Ocean Township — According to the Ocean Township Police Department, on Jan. 23, at approximately 10:05 p.m., Detective Bryan Morgan and Michael Legg were patrolling in the area of the Tower Motel on State Highway 35. While there, they observed suspicious activity at one of the rooms.
An investigation revealed that Jose A. Rodriguez, 21, and Leonel Perez-Mendez, 21, both of Red Bank, were at that location for the purpose of soliciting a prostitute. Their investigation also revealed that Rachael Raffaele, 19, was promoting prostitution in a room at the motel.
Rodriguez and Perez-Mendez were charged with engaging in prostitution. Both were served with complaint summonses and released pending a future court hearing.
Raffaele was charged with promoting prostitution and released on a complaint summons pending a future court hearing.
