January 6, 2015The official public meeting on the Port Ambrose LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) facility off of Monmouth Beach this Thursday, January 8 at 6 pm in the Eatontown Sheraton on Rte. 35. Go make your voices be heard.
Time is now of the essence and we need to turn out hundreds of people in opposition to Port Ambrose at these hearings! For more information on these public hearings and to sign up to attend, visit COA’s RSVP page. Also, COA and partner organizations will be hosting an information and organizing meeting at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 1475 West Front Street in Lincroft, NJ, from 7pm to 9pm next Thursday, December 18. We will be providing information about the status of the project, a policy recently proposed by MARAD that would change the way applications for LNG export facilities are permitted, and the upcoming public hearings on Port Ambrose. You can RSVP for that meeting here. If you can’t attend the public hearings, information on other ways to submit comments is posted here. Comments must be received by February 17, 2015. Please stay tuned for updates – it’s so important that concerned citizens attend the upcoming public hearings and show Governors Christie and Cuomo that the people want a veto on Port Ambrose!
