December 15, 2020Some lucky Long Branch students are the recipients of desks and chairs donated by the Colts Neck Reformed Church. The church made the donation to A.S.T.E.P. (After School Tutoring in the Park) program originated by Veronica Buffaloe Stubbs to help students with their homework.
“Many students are blessed and have a chance not to fall behind,” Veronica said about the desks that will go to their homes.
After learning about ASTEP the Colts Neck Reformed Church has donated many times to the program, their last being handmade desks and chairs to go along with them. The first sets were delivered in November and then more in December. Deliveries were made to Second Baptist Church on Liberty St.
