Important information regarding door-to-door sales/solicitors:
– Solicitors in Long Branch are required to obtain a license through our Health Department as well as a permit from our Public Safety Office. They are instructed to keep a copy of at least one on hand to show upon request.
– Solicitors should be wearing a name badge or have other company-specific identifiers.
– Solicitors are given a copy of the current “No Knock List” and are not permitted to solicit at locations on that list. To be added to the “No Knock List”, visit: longbranch.org/departments/CityClerk/no-knock-registry. A decal will be mailed to you to display on your door once registration is complete.
– As always, do not give any personal information to anyone who cannot prove that they are representing an organization that has been approved to knock at your door.
