Celebrate Black History Month by visiting the Cultural Roots exhibit at the Long Branch Arts & Cultural Center, showcasing diverse artwork by local artists, including paintings, quilts, leather goods, and thought-provoking photography. The exhibit runs through February 27. Join us for engaging community events, such as the Storytellers series taking place TONIGHT at 6:30 pm, where local community members share personal stories and reflections on life in Long Branch.
On February 24th, meet Long Branch native and former principal dancer with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Glenn Allen Sims, as he shares his inspiring journey. Additionally, on February 27, enjoy a performance by Lorraine Stone, who will embody civil rights activist Elizabeth Jennings. These events aim to bring the community together to exchange ideas and celebrate cultural heritage.
