Long Branch — The Long Branch Police Department promoted Craig Spencer to the rank of Lieutenant and Charles Shirley to the rank of Sergeant in a ceremony at City Hall on Friday afternoon.
Spencer has been with the Long Branch Police Department since 1995, serving in many bureaus, including the patrol division, detective bureau, support, and special events. Shirley has been with the police department since 1997, and also serves as Deputy Coordinator of Emergency Management for Long Branch.
