November 3, 2011Monmouth Beach — Val’s Pals will hold a benefit for Chris Schiafone on Sun., Nov. 6, 2-7 p.m. at The Church of the Precious Blood Parish, 72 Riverdale Ave.
The afternoon will feature live music, including some great local talent. Performers will include Pat Guadagno, BPM Jazz Trio Boyd Plunkett Mandigo, Carl Gentry, Jeff Macpherson, Alan Grant & Primitive Soul, Jeff Sund, Kevin John Allen, Layonne Holmes and Moto City Revue, Steve Kaiman, Thom White and Rogues, Lisa Lowell, Pam McCoy & Familiar Faces, Mario Casella with Eric Green, and more.
There will also be food and beverages, auction items, a 50-50 raffle and more.
Christopher Schiafone, son of Valerie Keddy Schiafone, was involved in a serious motorcycle accident near his home in California on September 25.
Following emergency spinal surgery, Chris is now in a physical rehabilitation wing at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, where he will ultimately be discharged into an outpatient care rehabilitation program in about one month’s time.
As expected, the expenses for his indefinite loss of work and medical bills will be staggering.
Val’s Pals is a group of friends, co-workers, family and extended family who know and love Val and her sons, and want to help support them through this challenging period.
