Ocean Township police have issued a notice there will be a controlled burn on Fri., March 30 in a wooded area behind Monmouth Road in Oakhurst.
Ocean Township residents are advised that from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the State Forest Fire Service, along with the Oakhurst Fire Department, will be conducting a controlled brush fire burn in the wooded between the Township of Ocean Board of Education Building on Monmouth Road and Gates Avenue.
Police say residents should be aware that a smoke condition is expected to exist in the Oakhurst area between those hours.
