August 31, 2012On Saturday evening, August 11th, 2012, four individuals were arrested for riot and other charges in the rear of Long Branch Police Headquarters.
Long Branch Police Captain Jason Roebuck stated in a written press release that the four individuals were at police headquarters because of a fight between several 10-year olds. One of the juveniles was taken into custody for a short term.
“A dispute arose when the accused were informed that only one person was allowed to see the 10 year olds at a time while they were in custody,” said Roebuck. The four accused adults took exception to this, became irate and then refused orders to leave the City Hall parking lot. Subsequently they were arrested and charged with the following:
Chevonne Battle 22 4th Avenue 2nd Floor, Long Branch, 32 years old, charged with Riot, resisting arrest, obstructing the administration of law, disorderly conduct and aggravated assault on a police officer. Bail was set by Judge Cieri at $7500, transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
Yolanda Fitzpatrick, 32B 7th Avenue, Long Branch, 36 years old, disorderly conduct, riot, released on a summons.
Bryant Moore 34 Barbara Ct, Waretown, NJ 24 years old, Riot, resisting arrest, obstruction the administration of law, disorderly conduct, released on a summons.
Terrell Battle 459 Magnolia Court, Howell, NJ 27 years old, Riot, resisting arrest, obstruction the administration of law, disorderly conduct, released on a summons.
