March 7, 2013Long Branch — Investigators are looking for the person who robbed the Sovereign Bank in Long Branch on Monday, Acting Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni says.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect, who smelled of paint fumes, walked into the Sovereign Bank branch located at 600 Broadway at 5:59 p.m. Monday demanding cash from a teller before fleeing the scene on foot.
The suspect spoke English with a Spanish accent.
He is described as a Hispanic male with an olive complexion, approximately 5’10” tall, weighing between 180 and 200 lbs. with a full black beard, wide nose and full lips.
The suspect was wearing a navy blue hoodie with paint specks and a Nike logo, a pair of gray sweatpants, and he was covered in dust.
