August 26, 2013KJ525 Philanthropy Club presented a dozen scholarships to students from Long Branch and Neptune last week in front of the Long Branch Public Library. Kathryn and Jerome Hamlin, KJ525 founders, say that the $500 scholarships are awarded to high school seniors and college students who display academc achievements. “We hope in some small way we can encourage all the scholarship recipients to be the best student in their chosen fields of endeavor, to strive for a positive education experience in hope of attaining their goals and aspitations,” they said. Several parents showed up to accept the scholarships for their children, who were already away at college.
