Long Branch – Just after midnight Tuesday, two men had an argument at the Lowden Gardens apartments off Bath Avenue.
The altercation escalated when Ricardo Laracuente, 54, whose last known address was Apollo Drive in Ocean Township, stabbed a Hispanic male in the arm according to Jason Roebuck, Public Safety Director for the City of Long Branch. “Laracuente was arrested for aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and unlawful possession of a weapon, after a drunken altercation,” said Roebuck.
Police did not provide any details on the type of weapon used in the stabbing or the name or age of the victim. However, Roebuck did say that was transported to Monmouth Medical Center for treatment. .
Laracuente was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in Freehold. Long Branch Police didn’t release the amount of his bail or a photo of the accused. Roebuck did state that Laracuente is currently unemployed.
