Vincent J. Borelli, a former teacher of the Visual and Performing Arts at the LBHS
October 30, 2013, the Long Branch Board of Education voted and approved a resolution dedicating the Long Branch High School Auditorium.
Back on January 17, 2006, the auditorium in the “old” Long Branch High School was dedicated in the memory of Vincent J. Borelli, a former teacher of the Visual and Performing Arts in the HS from October 1972 until his retirement in April 2005. Borelli was also the director of the Westwood Players and the founder of the Long Branch High School Forensic Team. Unfortunately, he passed away shortly after his retirement.
Due to delays in the restoration of the “old” High School and the uncertainty of when that facility will be back in use, the Board of Education wishes to transfer the honor of naming the “new” High School auditorium the Vincent J. Borelli Auditorium.
