August 4, 2014Freehold – Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office released a statement on Sunday, August 3, saying that the death of Joan Colbert, 62, Veronica Roach, her 10-year old foster-daughter was the result of a homicide.
Long Branch Police were dispatched to 61 Lippincott Avenue on August 1, around 5:22 in the evening. According to the statement it was on suspicious circumstances where they found two people dead in the first floor apartment.
Dr. Diane Karlik, Assistant Middlesex County Medical Examiner, performed an autopsy on both bodies and ruled the deaths a result of homicide.
