Last year the Shore Regional High School girls’ soccer team finished 21-4-1. They were the NJSIAA Group 1 state champions, NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 1 champions and the Shore Conference B Central Division champs.

As he prepares to start the 2016 season Moutis has to replace six seniors who he lost through graduation. “Having lost our entire defense and central midfielder it will take a little time for our team to jell but having a great offence will take a lot of pressure off the defense,” said Moutis. He added that the key as always will be staying healthy.
Shore Regional has been successful because Moutis employs a great coaching strategy. “My main milestone as a coach is to help teach my players to always give it their best effort and enjoy playing a fun game that so many other kids around the world would love to have the opportunity that our kids have,” added Moutis.
With the 54-28 win over Shore Regional, the Spartans of Ocean Township won their first Shore Conference Divisional title since 1997.
