April 12, 2022Beth Anne Duze Woolley, 66, Neptune, passed away on Sunday April 10, 2022.
Beth was a lifelong Jersey shore resident and a graduate of Long Branch High school and Stockton University. She loved spending time on the beach with her family and friends and was a long-time member of Takanassee Beach Club and most recently Deal Casino.
Beth had a passion for history and the arts and was a member of the Long Branch Arts council and the Long Branch Historical Association. Her true love was her hometown of Long Branch, and she worked tirelessly to try to preserve its rich history through numerous fundraising efforts, talks and exhibitions. She was owner and operator of Peaceable Kingdom Memorials and was proud to have marked and help design and erect numerous historical plaques, monuments and memorials throughout Long Branch, Monmouth County and beyond. More recently, she was very honored to design her favorite author, Dorothy Parker’s gravestone at her final burial place. Beth also proudly helped organize West End’s Art in the Park every year.
Most important to her, was her family and she was a very loving and proud mother and grandmother. Beth was predeceased by her dear parents Bernard Duze and Sylvia Alpert Duze.
She is survived by her husband Peter Woolley, her daughters and their partners, Alyce Woolley (John) of Long Branch and Taylor Woolley (Billy) of Denver, and her beloved grandchildren Jack, Andre and Sylvia Zavaglia.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 5-8 pm Wednesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday at the funeral home followed by burial at Glenwood Cemetery in West Long Branch.
