A Monmouth County Grand Jury handed up an indictment on August 5th charging a 35-year old Long Branch man with aggravated sexual assault.
Gonzalo Camacho was indicted on two counts of sexual assault, one count of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal restraint and criminal sexual contact.
The victim, according to Long Branch Police, was a 16-year old. Officials have not released the name or gender of the victim. The sexual assaults occurred between June and August in 2008. The victim made the complaint to police.
Camacho was arrested at his Long Branch home on May 6th following an investigation by Detective Sergeant Jeff Pilone and Detectives Kim Leavy and Michael Verdadeiro. According to police Camacho forcibly removed the victim from one room in the house to another to perform sexual acts.
