May 15, 2015Long Branch — The Long Branch Free Public Library is looking for students in grades five through eight who want an opportunity to volunteer while helping their community. If you love your library, consider being a Library Ambassador.
Library Ambassadors will volunteer one hour a week for a period of six months. In that time, the Ambassador is required to join the Tween Book Club and attend five library programs. At the end of their volunteer service, the Ambassador will be rewarded for their hard work.
If you are interested, please request an information packet. Participation in the program requires a signature from a parent or guardian. Enrollment in the program is ongoing, and potential volunteers will be contacted for orientation if they are selected as an Ambassador. Space is limited to 10 participants.
These student volunteers will be supervised by Nekesha Marshall, Teen Services Manager.
Please call the library at 732-222-3900, Ext. 231 or email NMarshall.lbpl@gmail.com for more information and an application form.
